Disneyland Projection Mapping Show (Shanghai)

For the opening of Disneyland’s first Chinese theme park, Disney wanted to put on an extravagant innovative opening ceremony show to celebrate this momentous occasion. They invited Moment Factory to work with other key creative collaborators and Disney executives to produce an unforgettable show in Shanghai, China. Our mandate included designing and producing video content and the technical integration of a projection mapping show.

As Project Manager of the MF team, I oversaw production, creative resourcing, shoots, technical production and client management for one of the largest mapping shows ever (measured by number of projectors) the company has ever undertaken.  This complex project was a fantastic achievement and our work formed part of the majestic opening ceremony that included Disney characters, a troupe of dancers, a 2000 member children’s choir and a symphony orchestra.
