PHISH – NYE Stunt (Madison Square Garden, NYC)
PHISH asked Moment Factory to create a phenomenal NYE stunt for their sold-out Madison Square Garden NYC show, so we delivered a twenty minute immersive experience. As Project Manager, I oversaw the creative conception, technical design, client relations and content production of this complex and unique stunt which Rolling Stone Magazine heralded as an ‘arena-sized disappearing act’.
The stunt involved the band starting their third set on a small B stage in the centre of the arena. As they began performing, a giant cone-shaped object descended from the ceiling. This object then ‘magically’ transformed into a giant psychedelic Hour-glass that encased the band, ready for the NYE countdown. As the last moments of 2015 trickled away, the countdown began with smoke filling the Hour-glass. At the stroke of midnight, to the fans’ amazement, the band reappeared on the main stage and Madison Square Garden was transformed into a vivid color fantasy.
